Hansen is a freelance creative studio passionate about telling stories through a documentary-inspired visual language.

In 2023, I initially started Sport Studies in Cologne, but soon realized that there was something missing. When I was younger I really enjoyed writing poems about topics that left me with questions or great emotion. But the further life went on, the less I questioned it. Just looked ahead and did what everyone does. Finished school, worked, started studies… Till one day I realized that there was nothing really to understand. At least not the way my life was heading. So I decided I want to do more than just live through. That I want to question, to express. So that even if I could not explain, I would want to try and portray life in all its aspects. Since then, I have been dedicated to gain more experience both in the technical and creative part of media. Through my studies in media engineering, I have a great foundation in understanding how all the electronics used to create media works, allowing me to blend technical expertise with creative expression in photography and filmmaking.

What inspires me the most is contrast. Not just in the visual sense, but in every layer of storytelling: the tension between light and shadow, silence and sound, softness and intensity. I find joy in emotional opposites, in shifting dynamics, in moments that break expectation. That's when people cannot help but feel. And I am drawn to those feelings that linger whether it’s joy, sadness, or even discomfort.

I try to create work that lives in those in-between spaces, where an image can be both quiet and bold, where a scene can carry beauty and unease at the same time. I am always searching for a balance that feels alive.
